The Family Paints with Bob Ross
This was definetly not my first time painting with Bob Ross... but it was for my family. Somehow, I convinced them to want to paint with me on Christmas. So we chose a Winter painting and like always... his 27 minute painting turned into a 2 hour painting session for us.
Here is Bob's painting that we chose to paint with him.
Here is the progression of my painting. Like always... it looks nothing like his. Turns out Winter paintings are hard. I think we all agreed on that. We ended up needing to add green in order to make it look different from the rest of the picture.
Here's how everyone else's painting turned out.
I don't know if anyone else will want to do it again... but it made Kristy want to paint with me once a month! So I am excited about that.

Shortcut Gingerbread Cookie Dough
I had never made gingerbread before. For some reason... I really wanted to make it even though I am not a huge gingerbread fan. I didn't want anything too complicated though... so I searched the internet for recipes and found this one... turned out pretty good!
Ingredients:
1 package spice cake mix
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 large room temperature eggs
1/3 cup oil
1/3 cup molasses
2 teaspoons ground ginger
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine spice cake mix, 1/2 cup all purpose flour, 2 large eggs, 1/3 cup oil, 1/3 cup molasses, and 2 teaspoons ginger, mixing well. The mixture will be soft. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Heat over to 375 degrees. Cut parchment paper to fit your baking pans. Roll the dough directly on the parchment paper (but not on the pan)
Using pattern pieces or cookie cuttersm cut out leaving a 3-inch space between pieces. Lift the parchment paper by opposite corners and place on the baking pans.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges just start to brown. Cool completely on baking pan before removing. Decorate cookies or use the pieces to build a house.

Sierra's Orchestra Concert
So neat to see my nieces and nephews develop their talents and perform! So glad I can be here for these moments.
Fa La La La Llama
It was our work Christmas party today and we decided to all wear ugly sweaters. I bought a new one this year that has a llama on it and I love it. I loved seeing everyone's sweaters.
We had a fun food day to celebrate. For the party, Candice and her fam made the most amazing ugly sweater sugar cookies!!!
My team is pretty cool.
