Got together with some of my Santa Barbara friends for Allan's birthday AND General Conference. So fun to hang out with these goobers again. They are like brothers to me and being with my Santa Barbara Family feels like home.

Paint Nite - Take 4

Can you tell I love going to Paint Nite's? So fun to paint something new and be in a fun environment while doing it.

Lorelie invited me to this one... and it was a monet style painting of water lilies. Mine turned out alright. I never think it is as good as I want it to be... but that is ok. The more you paint the better you get right? I just need to paint more and thankfully... Kristy and I are doing that.

Watercolor Painting with Kristy

February's painting with Kristy... we decided to try Watercolor. We both had never done it before. We went for something super simple for our first watercolor. Turns out it is trickier than it looks! That being said... I think we both did a pretty good job.

East Fork Yurt - 5th Annual Yurt Trip

Year #5 I took us back to where we started. Near Evanston Wyoming in the high uintas in northern Utah. Near Lilly Lake Yurt, but to a differnet yurt. One with a MUCH easier hike... which is what we wanted after last year. Last year's hike was SO hard... I wondered if anyone would even want to come this year. 

It was a cold hike, but it was a quick hike. Although... when we got to the yurt, we struggled with the wood stove again. The people running these yurts really need to check on the stove. It's the only way we have to keep warm! So I ended up sleeping on the top bunk to help keep warm.

Daniel, Allison and I have been on ALL 5 yurt trips together. The other people on the trips have changed, but we have all been consistant. So of course that means we have to document. 

It had just snowed... recently before our trip, so it was a beautiful hike that we all enjoyed. So glad I have friends that enjoy this as much as I do and want to go back year after year. It is the highlight of Winter for me.

Horseshoe Bend - Take 2

2nd time to Horseshoe Bend and still just as awesome. Could have done with a little less people there... or a lot less people there... but we found a spot to call our own.


We were also blessed with a beautiful sunset. Which of course always makes me happy.

Will this be my last time here? Probably not. :) I just need to find a time when it isn't crowded.

St. Patty's Board

My co-worker, Tyler, has done another drawing for me to help me be festive and to give me laugh. I always appreciate it. The odd thing to me was that not everyone got the joke on this one. I thought it was hilarious.
