Flashback Friday 189

I'll go ahead and just continue with wedding flashbacks and flashback to my sister Jamie's wedding. I was super excited for this wedding not because I am always happy for my family when they get married... but because it was my first time getting to be a bridesmaid. I had always wanted to be a bridesmaid and this was my first time getting to do it. I think my sister probably didn't care to have them, but she knew how much I wanted to be one. She is so nice to me. She even made mine and Lori's skirts!

As you can see the wedding was beautiful.

My BFF Lolly's birthday was this week... and her anniversary was right before that. Which made me want to flash back to her wedding. It was a beautiful fall wedding. Going to her wedding was my first time to Washington. I loved it. I also love being a Bridesmaid even though I was one of 6. I felt honored that I am one of her closest friends that I got to be a part of her wedding. Sometimes when girls have all of their closest friends at the time in their wedding party... years down the road... they don't even really keep good friends with them. Not Lolly... everyone in her wedding party she is still close friends with. Some of those girls are her sisters, but there are 4 friends. Anyway... Lolly is good like that and I admire that about her. So here are a few pictures from the wedding. October 2004.

Flashing back to Fall of 2005. Took fall pictures with my boy besties and my friend Sydney. I always love take fall pictures... if you can't tell. Brad wanted to take the pictures instead of being in any of them. Miss hanging out with those boys.

This was back in 2002.. before I moved to Utah. I hung out with Lolly and Geedge a lot the summer before I moved. We had a good time. We got dressed up and tried to go out salsa dancing. Got there and we needed ID and Geedge and I and the other guy that went were too young. Opps. We always had a good time though no matter what we did.

To this day I still love and am good friends with Lolly and Geedge.

Flashing back to my first couple of years of college. If I ever felt like being a lone to just think (which I had a lot of those moments before moving to Utah) I had my favorite spot at Campus Point that I would go and sit and watch the sunset and just listen to the waves and feel the breeze. I loved it. It was so peaceful. I miss that. I don't have one of those spots in Utah. I should find one. Sometimes when I go home to Santa Barbara, I go back to that spot.

As a senior in high school I took Greek Mythology. For my big project at the end of the semester, my childhood friend Michelle and I put together a story book of the Greek Gods and posing as them and took pictures and painted them. It was legit and original and I got a super A+ on it. I have actually posted on my blog about it before, but since I am getting ready to go to Greece... well, I thought it would be fun to post one of them. So here is the one of me as Hades! Ha! I think it's hilarious.

Flashing back to May 2006 when my friend Sara and I road tripped out to Arizona to get away and visit my grandparents. We drove through Zion's since I had never been before and drove by part of the Grand Canyon. We had a blast.

Back when I was a Sr in High school.... I went through a big time Techno phase. Like... that is almost all I listened to, which is really weird to me now. Ha ha... not that I don't like it at all now, but I think I would go nuts if that was all I listened to. Anyway... I was really into it, and I would decorate all of my Techno CD's like this. ha ha.

I'm maybe going through Disneyland withdrawals since I haven't been since October 2012... so I'm flashing back to March of 2004 when I took my good friend from Massage School, JaLane, to Disneyland with me with my free tickets that year. Oh how I wish I had free tickets this year.

PS Remember when overalls were in? I loved that trend. Most comfortable trend ever. ha ha

I believe this is when I was in 3rd grade. I'm not positive... but I think whoever was taking student of the month pictures just took a few pictures of me because I was there (I must have known them) it wasn't my month for student of the month.

Going back to Winter of 2006. Sara and I became good friends and both like going to and throwing parties. So we started throwing parties (mostly at her apartment because she had more room and it was nicer). We figured out that we were good at throwing parties and lots of people would come to our parties and get excited for our next party. In fact... we even had a couple of people meet at one of our parties and later got married. True story.

One of the parties we threw was a masquerade. Who doesn't love masquerades? We invited everyone and people got really into it. Some even made their own masks or painted masks on. We had a spot for people to take pictures, we had Mocktails and we had good music which brought fun dancing.

I kind of miss my party throwing days... but I feel like the older you get the less big groups of random people want to attend these events. Oh well.... I guess I will always be throwing a party in one way or another.

Happy Independence Day! I will blog all about what I did today another day. For now I thought I would flash back to Independence Day in 2000. I spent a week at my friend Jen's families ranch in Utah... riding horses, herding cattle. All of that good stuff. She brought me and a few other friends a long. It was 4th of July while we were there so we went to a parade and played with sparklers and other festivities. I have always loved this holiday.

Summer of course always reminds me of Dinkey Creek. I'm not as sad about not going this year because we went last year. I thought I would flashback to one of the summer's I went while in high school.

A big group of us took a trip to the Mines. It is a bit of a hike to get there... and back. One family at our camp brought this jeep. On the way back... everyone was tired and not wanting to hike back... so they went back and forth picking people up. We thought we would save them multiple trips and we fit 13 or 14 people on there. Seriously... we drove like that. It was pretty funny.
