This summer, when I was first starting to get to know Brent... we started having dinner together every Sunday. Brent, Brian and I would all switch off cooking every week and we would invite a few other people and it was great... getting to know people while eating good food. Plus... I stopped cooking because sometimes I have a hard time cooking for just myself, but I love cooking for others. The first time that it was Brent's turn to cook I came over to eat and it was awesome. I had no idea that he was such a great cook. What is his secret? The Man Cookbook that his mother gave him for Christmas. What a great gift that he has put to great use. He has tried many Recipe's from the Man Cookbook and every one of them has turned out great. I do tease him about the book every week because it is like a child's book which includes the thick pages, lots of pictures and simple instructions... you can't fail with this book. Although I tease him about the book, we have eaten a lot of great meals from it and it has really made Brent love to cook and want to branch out. He makes a mean cheesecake.

No No... it is REALLY good, it is really one of our favorites. One day you will have to try it and you will see. This is what he made over at Kristy's and we all had seconds.
I should get that book for Trevor! I think it would be something fun for him to do. I am hesitant about the steak salad but thinking about it what could go wrong when steak is in anything? I mean come on now.
Looks weird, but I'll eat anything.
PS Dan cooked our soup tonight. He opened up a can of Cambells and heated it up. This is all we ate. This is a once-a-year event. You are one lucky gal.
