Tinker Bell

Tonight I went to see Cally (Dave and Heather's daughter) play Tinker Bell in her school play. Lisa and a few of her kids and Brenda all came in to town just to see her.

Cally ROCKED it! You could tell she was totally in her element. So comfortable on stage and loved every minute of it. For an elementary school play, the costumes and sets were pretty amazing. Such a cute production. Glad I got to see it and support her. Congrats on a job well done Cally Jean.

Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 372

Friday Candice and I convinced the boss to see a movie. So we snuck out a few minutes early and had Candice's mom meet us at the theater and we went to see "Going in Style" which was funny and cute and we all liked it. Great way to start off the weekend.

Saturday I got some quality time with my good friend Daniel. It had been a while since we had hung out and caught up... so we decided it was time. So we went out to lunch at Red Robin and then since we were at the mall we decided to catch a movie as well. We went to see a movie that we both had never heard of which is always a risk. ha ha... This one was called Phoenix Forgotten. Weird, but entertaining.

After time with Daniel I went to go get my car cleaned inside and out. Which I LOVE when I get my car cleaned. I'm such a neat freak. I hate having a dirty car.

Then I was off to the Tulip Festival with Rachel and Justine. Had a great time. We went right before it closed so we couldn't take our time, but we made it around the entire gardens. I already blogged about that so I won't talk too much more about that.  The rest of the night I just hung out with Rachel since Justine had to head back home. We just got something to eat and chilled at her place.

Sunday was church and then dinner with the family. Desiree stopped by to visit real quick to say hi and then my mom and sister and I made our April cards. Our nice little tradition. I already blogged about that too... so moving on.

Monday I got my hair done. I already blogged about that too. All I have to say about that is I LOVE it. Way more than I thought I would. Nicole... she is SO good.

Oh! I forgot to mention that when I got back from California visiting my cousin, I came home to an Easter gift from my visiting teachers! How sweet are they? Tulips and a chocolate bunny. I tell you what... I don't love my new ward, but my visiting teachers are the best part of it. They are the reason I started going back to church and to my new ward. They are awesome.

Wednesday was the start of Quarter End. You know how Quarter end goes. A lot of late nights at work and stuffing my face with food that work provides for me. I worked until 7 and then I went to the Trolly in Springvilley for a goodbye dinner for my friend Ian who was off for the summer for the NBA program. So the friends got together and it was a good time and I was glad I was able to go because during quarter end... I'm never sure what I will be able to do after work. I don't count on anything, so I was super happy that I could go.

Thursday I worked until 8:30 and that was the end of another week!

I'm a little bit Blonde, I'm a little bit Brunette

I have said time and time again how Nicole is a master when it comes to doing hair. She never fails me... which is why I let her do whatever she wants. I trust her with my hair more than anyone else. This time she wanted to turn me more blonde than she has ever made me before. I said... ok, bring it on. Summer is coming, so it's time to go lighter. I LOVE it more than I thought I would and I get compliments on my hair on the daily. Yep! Nicole is awesome. Thank you Nicole!!

Tulip Festival - Take 3

I went to the Tulip Festival yesterday with Rachel and Justine. This is my 3rd time going to this overpriced but beautiful festival. My first time going was actually in 2010 with Rachel and a couple of other friends. So nice that Rachel and I have reconnected.  It was Justine's first time. Always a fun way to enjoy spring. I love tulips.

Ready for an overload of Tulip/Flower pictures? Here they come! There are so many pretty ones that I had a hard time choosing.

Garden of Origami cranes. This was my cup of tea since origami cranes are kind of my thing. When I saw this I decided that I want to do this for my wedding one day.

Had to get some pictures with the girls even though Rachel hates being in pictures.

My absolute favorite part of the garden? The picture below... and that is where I will end. Until next time Tulip Festival. You were great.

Sushi & Face Masks

Had so much fun getting together with Desiree.

We first went to get sushi... which I am NEVER mad about. I love Sushi.

We went back to Desiree's house and we did facials. She has been into this product and had to show me and have me use it. It was nice. She says it is taking away her wrinkles... not that I thought she had many to begin with... but she has kept her young beauty. She is a beautiful girl though. Love her. She is such a great friend that I am thankful to have in my life.

Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 371

The week continued with the Wishart Crew. I have already blogged about all of our activities... it was mostly just running around all the kids to where they needed to be... but the bigger activities I already blogged about. It was nice to spend some quality time with Lisa and I got some quality time with my Aunt Brenda  too. It wasn't a lot of one on one time since she has 9 kids... one of which is a year old, but that being said, we got a lot of time to chat. I even went to her personal trainer with her and her friend to work out with them. Nothing new for me.  I also had fun hanging out with her kids. The younger ones drew me pictures and wrote me cute notes. Especially for Easter. Kaytlin gave up her room for me to stay in while I was there... and the older boys think I am the coolest. They follow me on Instagram and had lots of questions about my travels and adventures. One of the twins gave the prayer for Easter dinner and said they were so thankful for their AMAZING cousin Tracy in town. That made me feel good. I don't know how amazing I am... but it is nice to be looked up to especially when I get down on myself so easily. Great visit. Lisa had been asking me to come for a while and always gave me a hard time for visiting Trav twice before visiting her. So it was long overdue. Now Trav says it's his turn again. :)

Uncle Carl took me back to the airport Monday night and I was back in Utah shortly after. It was funny... Carl is definitely a worrier and kept asking me all of these questions about if I remembered this or that on the way to the airport. I tried not to laugh. I don't think he has any idea how much I travel and domestic travel I don't even give a second thought to. Stacey at text me earlier that day sending me something funny that reminded him of our trip, so I asked him if he would pick me up since it was midnight that I was getting in. I know he is a night owl like me. He is the best and told me he would because he was free later and it would give us a little bit of time to hang out and chat and catch up. I will take quality Stacey time when I can get it. It isn't very often, especially this time of year. So that was a fun ride home from the airport. Stacey and I always have fun together.

Tuesday it was back to work and then I just rested when I got home.

Wednesday after work I got together with Desiree. I'm so glad that we take time to get together every couple of months or so. This time we went out for Sushi and then went back to her house and did facials. She is trying to get me to take better care of my skin since all I do it wash it off in the shower. Ha ha. I have been extremely lucky with SUPER nice skin that I haven't had to do much with and has kept me looking pretty young. Anyway... we had fun catching up as we always do. She is such a great friend that I have been lucky to have in my life the last 9 years.

That brings me to today. It was work until I went home and did laundry and cleaned and the things I do when I get back from trips and am settling back in. Nothing too exciting. It was nice to get out of town for a few days. Here's to another week.

Cousin's Frolicking in the Wildflowers

The wildflowers are BOOMING right now in California. So the last thing Lisa and I did before I left for the airport was go wandering through them.

It was a short but nice trip. Love spending time with Lisa and wish I got to do it more. She is the best. So blessed I have her as a cousin and a friend. And I'm so happy she makes time for me in her crazy life of 9 kids. It makes me feel even more special.  Thank you Lisa for asking me to come out!

La Jolla Potholes

Another thing I had been wanting to see in San Diego was the La Jolla Potholes. So Lisa and Brett made it happen... right at sunset, which ended up being perfect and we got a pretty nice sunset and enjoyed the beautiful and unique beach. Another check off of the California bucket list.

Easter

Spent Easter Sunday with the Wishart Family. Went to church then did the traditional Wishart Sunday Selfie and had dinner and Easter Egg hunts for the younger kids and the older kids and took pictures of the kids with their new bunnies. I know what you are thinking... 9 kids and bunnies? Yep! 9 kids, rabbits, bunnies, lizards and a new puppy too. Never a dull moment in the Wishart home.
