Yesterday was World Nutella Day! I love Nutella, so I had to celebrate. I looked online and they have TONS of Nutella recipes. I had no idea. All of these years I have only been spreading it on bread and fruit and such and turns out there is so much more you can do with it! Since I am into making truffles lately, I thought I would try the Nutella Truffle recipe. So tasty & Easy which = my favorite. Here is how I made them.
First, you pour one jar of Nutella in a bowl. Also add 1 Tbsp of butter, 4 Tbsp or honey and about 100 grams of dark chocolate. Microwave until it is melted.
Stir it together and you will notice that the chocolate mixture will thicken and turn into a dough. Put plastic over the top of the bowl and let it sit in the refrigerator for an hour.
Once the chocolate has sit in the refrigerator for an hour, take it out and roll it into balls. Then you can have fun with toppings! I dipped half in melted chocolate and put a pecan on top. The other half I rolled in coco powder. But really... the sky is the limit, do whatever you think will taste good.
This is what I will be bringing to work on Monday. You are welcome Novell co-workers. I guess this is a thank you for giving me Cold Stone Ice cream on Friday and letting me leave an hour early because I didn't feel like being at work anymore.
If you love Nutella, you will love these truffles! Happy Nutella Day (a day late)!
