Floral Design 3

Can you believe another month has passed us by? Of course February always goes faster than the rest because it is a shorter month, but still... but a new month brings a new Floral class. I just love them as you know. This month Melissa taught us how to make Pomanders! Everyone's turned out super cute. This month one of my roommates finally joined me in this class. Ashlee and I have a goal to do a craft a week. The pomanders are super easy to make and turn out super cute. Here are some pictures from the class. P.S. Melissa (the one who teaches the class) is the second one from the left. She is awesome. Also... I was not looking too good this night, I should not post bad pictures of myself, but I'm over it.

Those are soooo cute Tracy. Was the base a styrofoam ball? I'm thinking wedding decorations...was it very expensive?

Nice. How do you keep them alive? Mist them? And what are they usually used for?

They are used for decoration. We used a soaking block of styrofoam ish type stuff and then you cut it into a ball with a knife. Then you cut the flowers down to an inch of stem and stick them in. Oh... but before you put the flowers in, you get wire to tie around the ball so you can hang the ribbon. I don't think it was too expensive, our class only costs ten bucks. And I also thought it would be cute to do for the outdoor wedding, along with hanging lanterns and flowers and candles on the tables. You could make fake ones pretty easily too I am sure.

yo girl- I figured it's about time for me to actually comment! You did great at the class and I'm glad you had fun! And, as always, you look cute. Don't even trip. :)

Good work. They turned out amazing! I love your goal to do something crafty a week. I have a goal to do something crafty a year. :) So with our plates/bowls and that diaper cake I made I'm sitting pretty for over a year. :)
