Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 302

The weekend flew... my trip came fast. I never really felt like I was going, probably because Stacey and I hardly ever see each other and we never talk about our trip nor have we ever made any plans for it. So... it pretty much isn't going to feel like we are going on the trip until we are actually on the trip.

I don't feel like I have too much to report this week. Friday I didn't do much. I shopped at "At Home" with my friend Amber and of course didn't plan on buying anything and ended up leaving with a couple of bags of cute Christmas stuff that was on sale. Then I got home and practiced singing with Lindsay for the church program on Sunday.

Saturday I went on another photoshoot with Darrell. We are serious about our photoshoots. I'm happy he is on board with me. It's a win win, I get to spend more time with Darrell like we used to AND I am taking more pictures with my real camera. Hopefully we keep this up when I get back from my trip.

I already blogged about going to temple square with the people in my ward. It was super crowded, but we had a good time. Plus, we got cheesecake factory cheesecake after, so that right there was worth it. Their seasonal peppermint cheesecake is to die for.

I'm still watching Felicity. I just ended season 3. I think that is a good place to stop until I get back from my trip. I still have one more season left I think. I have really been liking the show, so I will be sad when it is over.

Sunday was our Christmas program at church. It was lovely. A lot of beautiful music, which I love. I love musical programs. I loved participating. I love every opportunity I get to sing. I love to sing and I feel like I don't get to do it enough.

Later Sunday I went to the families house for dinner and we had an EARLY celebration for my birthday. Had cake and opened a couple of presents. I don't know why, but it's weird for me to celebrate my birthday really early or late. It's just not my birthday. But I would rather celebrate than not and don't think I will be celebrating on my trip... so it was nice to still celebrate with the family. I just love my family. It will be weird not to be with them over Christmas. My first time ever not being with family for Christmas.

Monday was my last day at work before my trip! So weird. Still didn't feel like I was going. Still hadn't packed... I always leave packing for the last possible second. It is terrible, but I always do it. I don't know why. Ali came over to do our eyelash - massage trade and she came over later and didn't end up leaving until midnight and then after that I still needed to pack. Yikes! Did I mention that my flight left SUPER early in the morning too? Yep! Stacey hadn't packed yet either, so he was feeling the same way as me. It will all work out.

Earlier that day at work... it was a pretty lazy day at work. Why? Because we had our Christmas party at Carabba's and had our Secret Santa gift exchange. It was a fun little party and then although we had to go back to work after... we still got to go home early which was nice. You have seen lots of pictures of my old team at work.... but here is the new team that I am with since they switched me to a new department. We have a good time.

How nice that you didn't miss out on your work's seasonal festivities. And I don't even feel like my birthday is my birthday anymore, if you know what I mean.
