Santa Rejection

I decided to go see Santa this year. It was time that we had a heart to heart. I was excited to see him because I thought of something good to ask him for Christmas this year... real good.

I waited in line to talk to him. I sat on his lap and gave it to him straight and told him what I wanted for Christmas this year. I told him that all I wanted was a husband. This was not a laughing matter, I had a straight face. It happened on "Miracle on 34th Street" it could happen for me.

However... Santa laughed and said "Oh... I'm not THAT magical".

I got up off of his lap and started to walk away sadly and slowly. I think Santa felt bad because as I was walking away he told me he would try and send the next single guy my way. Whatever Santa! I see how it is. It was funny. Not that I was really depressed. What was he supposed to tell me? Maybe I should have been more specific like my roommates... and ask for a date with the sleigh driver! ha ha

Now what? That was all I wanted! ha ha

I can't believe I was rejected by Santa... it started out so positive...

Oh, Tracy :( I know exactly how you feel! I was just remembering my saddest Christmas ever. I was 26 and so, so lonely! I know that no words can help, but even though I had to wait until I was 31 to start dating my wonderful man, I can honestly say that it was all worth it! All those years of yearning for something that felt completely out of my power to have, all those lonely moments, all the pleading prayers and tears, were all worth it for the most perfect husband given to me by God! He has the best plan for your life, so even though the holidays are difficult right now, just think of what He has in store for you some day! And yes, marriage is wonderful! I have never felt a single moment of loneliness since my first date with Will. My life finally feels complete! I yearn for nothing (well, except for all the kids I hope to have, but they will come:)

Even though I have always been a happy person, and I had so much fun being single, now I know that it was OK to feel something was missing all those years because we are not meant to be alone! We SHOULD yearn for marriage and family! That is how God made us! IT'S OK :) And don't let anyone tell you you're being too picky! You're choosing the man that you will spend eternity with, and that you will want your children to be like! Be as picky as you must! You're doing everything just fine!

Did your soundtrack play the Charlie Brown music as you walked away? Sorry, not funny. On the bright side, you look SO cute in your picture with Santa. Your future husband is going to love that picture.
