I'm a little bit Blonde, I'm a little bit Brunette

I have said time and time again how Nicole is a master when it comes to doing hair. She never fails me... which is why I let her do whatever she wants. I trust her with my hair more than anyone else. This time she wanted to turn me more blonde than she has ever made me before. I said... ok, bring it on. Summer is coming, so it's time to go lighter. I LOVE it more than I thought I would and I get compliments on my hair on the daily. Yep! Nicole is awesome. Thank you Nicole!!

Hair Color by Nicole

Nicole has done it again... made my hair fabulous. I love the colors. Now that I am getting grey hair (don't want to talk about it... it is making me depressed) I need Nicole's hair coloring skills more than ever. She is the best and I love it. I love how rich the color is right after.

She told me the only thing we haven't done with my hair (besides totally chop it which neither of us wants to do) is to turn me blonde. I told her I really like being brunette... but... if she showed me pictures and convinced me that I would look amazing as a blonde, then I might let her do it. We shall see. You would think since I come from a  family of all blondes, that it would be super natural for me to go blonde. I just don't know.... I love being brunette.

Dark for Fall

Got my hair done. Nicole wanted my hair darker for fall. It looks like a solid color... but it actually does get lighter at the end. I wanted something darker and warm... I got it. It was weird for me to get used to at first because I feel like I have been light for a while, but I like it. Always do. Nicole always does a great job.

Ready for Summer Hair

I had mentioned in my confessions that I got my hair done. I wasn't going to post a picture, but Nicole took this one right after she finished my hair and recently posted it on her new hairstyle instagram.  As always... I just really love how it turned out, so I'm posting it. I love the rich colors and that I have lightened up for summer, but still am staying true to being brunette. Nicole is awesome at what she does.

Dark Red

On Saturday Nicole text me telling me she had been thinking about my hair. She knew my appointment was coming up and she is so great and puts thought into my hair. She asked me how I felt about going dark red. I didn't jump right on it... but ultimately I always let her do whatever she wants. In the end she was more nervous about messing up my hair than I was.

It ended up not being as red as she was going for, but we were both happy with how it turned out. I love the dark rich color. To me... it's a ton darker, but hardly anyone has even noticed that I got my hair done. Oh well.

Ready for Summer Hair

I love my friend Nicole. She is not only so fun, but she is an amazing hair stylist. Sometimes I go in for my appointment with an idea of what I want done with my hair.... most of the time though, I just let her do her thing. She is the hair stylist... so I figure she knows the trends with hair and what is trendy and what would look good on me. So I always just let her do whatever she wants.

When I went in today, she told me she had been thinking about me a lot today and what she wanted to do and she really wanted to brighten me up and knew exactly how she wanted to do it. So I told her to go ahead and do her thing. I trust her 100%.

We had fun catching up... and by the time she was done with my hair... she loved the way it turned out so much that she wants to do it too and wanted to take pictures of it that went on their salon Facebook page. I'm happy with it too... but I'm happy with whatever she does. I ALWAYS get compliments on my hair... even from strangers wanting the look or colors I have with my hair.

Thanks Nicole for always keeping my hair trendy and fabulous.

The New Hairdo

I had an appointment to hang out with my friend Nicole... aka get my hair done. I love getting my hair done and I love hanging out with Nicole. It's a win win.

Usually I go in there with no ideas and just let her do what she wants. This time I had sent her a picture from Pinterest of this beautiful brunette with some red in her hair. Obviously everyone's hair is different a takes dye differently etc... so I didn't expect the same thing, but was just giving her a general idea of what could be fun and a little different if she thought it would look good on me. She thought it would so I let her go for it.

It ended up taking 4 hours because the red wasn't as vibrant the first time around as she wanted... so we did the red again. I didn't mind, more time to hang out and catch up. It was late and we were the only ones at the salon, so it was fun. The end result? It's a beautiful rich brown with some beautiful red mixed it. I absolutely LOVE it. I was ready to go darker and I like the way red looks in my hair. The more I see it in pictures and in certain lighting... the more I love it. Thank you Nicole! You are the best hair stylist!

Brunette

I love being a brunette. Don't know how I'm the only one in my family that ended up that way... but I'm glad. So many fun little variations I can try on my hair and Nicole (my good friend and hair dresser) and I have explored a lot of them with my hair.

My ombre is gone... I'm actually a little surprised that not very many people have noticed that there is anything different with my hair. I do... but it is my hair. I loved the ombre,  but it was time for something new. I now am back to all brown, I love the colors... with the small carmel highlights. My hair is healthy and feels great now that all the dead stuff has been cut off. Also love the layers.

I LOVE it. Thanks Nicole for always making my hair look good.

Ombre'

I have been friends with Nicole for a long time. We have kept in touch ever since she got married. She is also an excellent hair stylist. She has been doing my hair for the past 5 years I think. I always leave loving my hair.

She knows me and she knows my hair. I always let her do whatever she wants and I have never regretted that. I have had the Ombre' for a while... off and on. I always love it. I like the way it looks on me. Every time she has given me the melt, it looks slightly different. This time we were both very pleased. My hair looked JUST like a picture I had pinned on Pinterest. WIN!

Nicole is amazing. Really. We have a blast chatting and catching up AND I leave with fabulous hair. It's a win win really. Thanks Nicole! If you live in Utah county and are looking for a hair stylist. I recommend this girl.

Fall Hair

I got my hair done on Saturday. My friend Nicole has been doing my hair for the last few years and I have never hated my hair. In fact... I always LOVE what she does, to the point where I show up and she asks me what I want to do with my hair and I pretty much just let her do whatever she wants. Seriously. She knows what's trendy and what will look good on me, so I let her do it. Never regret it.

I told her I wanted to go slightly darker for fall. It's nothing drastic, in fact... nobody really noticed I got it done... except this guy I have gone out with a few time, John... he seems to be super observant. ANYWAY... I love it. I love the colors. Next time we will go more drastic I think. I mean... I love switching things up.... at least just a little. With color anyway. I love having my hair long and not so sure I could ever chop it off.

Peek of Blonde

My friend Nicole does my hair. I usually don't have a plan for my hair when I go to get it done. I don't need a plan. Nicole keeps me trendy and up to date and I always love what she does with my hair.... so I trust her. I trust her to do whatever she wants. This is great because she gets me to try things that I wouldn't normally try. I was really unsure about the melt at first, but I ended up loving it and keeping it for a while.

This visit was no different. I was unsure about what she wanted to do, but I let her do it anyway. My hair is modeled after Christina Perri (singer).

I would have never chosen to have this done. Now that it is done... I think it is awesome and I'm rockin it. I have gotten a ton of compliments on it.... especially from the guys. I'm lucky that not only I have great hair, but that I can pull off a lot of different looks with my hair and have it look good.

Melt - Red Edition

Remember back in June when I first got the melt? When I first got it, it was pretty subtle... then after having it for a month or so and loving it, Nicole made it more drastic. Well... I loved it so much I ended up keeping it until now. Almost 5 months.

When I went in to get my hair done on Saturday, Nicole and I talked for a little while about what we would do with my hair. I loved the melt and was sad to see it go, but I wanted to go darker for the Winter. I missed my dark hair. I was really torn. Nicole suggested keeping the melt but turning it red instead of blonde. I hesitated. How would that look. Nicole had never done it before. She went and asked another girl how she would do it. If I let her do this... I would be the experiment. Was I okay with that? Yep. I trust Nicole with my hair. She always makes me look good and gets me to try new things... which I like. So I let her to the red melt.


I LOVE it!!! I forgot how much I love having red in my hair. These pictures don't really do my hair justice. It looks better in person. I should have taken pictures outside. Oh well.

Everyone noticed when I first got my melt back in June. Oddly... not very many people have noticed my hair change this time. It is weird to me because I feel like my hair is SO much darker (which I love) and there is totally red instead of blonde. How do you not notice that? Oh well. I love it... even if nobody else can tell the difference. ha ha. The only thing about red is that it fades quick... so we will see what happens to it. 

Melt

Nicole Fawcett is my fabulous Hair Stylist. I went in to get my hair done thinking I was going to put red in and Nicole convinced me to try a melt. Good thing I always trust her because I LOVE IT! At first I wasn't sure if I could pull off the trendy melt or if I even wanted to, but Nicole said it would look good on me so I trusted her and went for it. So glad I did. Perfect for summer. Thanks Nicole. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair already.

Pintrest Hair

So... I'm pretty into Pintrest. It is what I do when I am bored at work. It is awesome in so many ways. I pin recipes, decorating ideas, crafts, photography, make up, nail polish, cute clothes, etc...

Well, one of the things I like to pin is hair styles. There are so many cute ones that I have found via pintrest. I am always telling myself I need to experiment more with my hair. I need to get better at styling it, doing different things. Well, Pintrest has given me a few ideas and taught me how to do it. Here are a few that I have tried.

This one I actually didn't do. Vicki saw it on Pintrest and wanted to try it out on someone, so I told her that she could try it out on me. I don't think I will ever do it because I couldn't see what she was doing and it took forever... but it was cute in the end. She did something with a curling iron... curled it a special way. I don't know. Good thing we got a picture. :)

This one is wavey curls without having to use a curling iron (I know it is kind of hard to see) but you put a band around your head and when your hair is damp, you just wrap your hair around the band and then sleep on it. I have tried it a couple of times... but I still have not perfected it.

This last one I tried I was curious if it would stay or not because I have my bangs back and I didn't know how well they would stay pined back. Anyway... I pinned back my bangs, and did a little braid headband and then curled the rest of my hair. I thought it turned out pretty cute.

I am still looking for more to try. Thank you Pintrest. 

Twinners!

My good friend Desiree and I write to each other almost everyday. We used to be in the same ward until she got married and have been writing each other regularly for the past couple of years. One day when we were writing we both had talked about having appointments to get our hair done within days of each other and then both found out that we were both going to be getting bangs! May not seem to be a big deal, but bangs are a big commitment and they don't look good on everyone. Des and I .... we can pull it. Ever since we both got our bangs, we have talked about getting together and taking Twinner pictures. Well, that finally happened.

The funny thing is, we didn't know how twinner we would be. I walked up the stairs to see Desiree and noticed that we were both wearing grey coats and purple scarves! Great minds think a like.

Then when we were out taking pictures, it was freezing and we took our hands out of our coat pockets and noticed we were wearing almost the SAME nail polish color! What the what?! Yep. I did always like Desiree's style, apparently because its the same as mine! ha ha. It was awesome.... so we took pictures.

I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty!

Today I felt extra pretty. I'm not vain. I usually just try to look decent and that's it. Sometimes I get jealous of people that are really tan, because I don't have that ability. My roommate Tina and her visiting teachers were all talking about how tan they are. Then I mentioned how white I am. Tina then looked at me and said "Tracy, you make white look good". I felt better after that. ha ha
Back to my point. There are 3 main reasons why I felt extra pretty today.

#1- This week I went and got a pedicure. This makes me happy.

#2- Yesterday I went to my good friend Nicole (she is amazing), and got my hair done. Went darker again. I love it. You can't tell in this picture (maybe you will be able to tell in future pictures) but there is a hint of violet/red in my hair. I think its awesome. This makes me happy.

#3- I dropped another pants size! Never in my life did I think I would be able to accomplish my weight loss goals I had been setting all my life. I would love to drop one more, but I am going to rejoice with how far I have come. THIS MAKES ME HAPPY!!!

So yeah, I'm feeling good today. It also helped that I got a ton of compliments on my hair and how skinny I looked today. Thank you friends for making me feel good about myself. :o)

Hair Cut

Got my hair cut and colored this weekend. Thanks Nicole! Love it, as usual. It is nice to have my side bangs back. Now I just need to work on a tan.....

Red

Bright and dramatic, red is the color of love, joy and bravery. Rooms that are painted red are often warm and cheery while people who wear red are often energetic, optimistic individuals who love attention and being in the spotlight. Those who love red live life to the fullest and are tenacious and determined in their endeavors.

Yesterday I went to my friend Nicole's salon. I was long overdue to get my hair done. I told her I wanted something new and I trusted her to do whatever she thought would look best on me. She decided to put red in my hair! I LOVE IT! I received so many compliments today at church. I think it is a fun change. I love to decorate with red, I like to wear red... so why not put it in my hair? Thanks Nicole for doing my hair! I really do love it.

Bangs

To have bangs or not to have bangs?.... that is the question. When my friend Colette did my hair, she cut it so I could have the side bangs, or bangs across my forehead. I don't think I have had bangs since I was in the 3rd grade.... so I was pretty hesitant about this idea. But I told her I would try it at least once, so I did this last Sunday. Not sure if I will do it again though.
