Confession of a Brunette on the Internet 172

This is probably going to be pretty short since I spent the long weekend out of town and blogged about it all....

It was 90+ degrees the whole time I was in AZ.  I came back to Utah and it rained. It is actually nice... keeps it cooler a little longer. Makes everything super green. This is the only time of year that even the mountains are green. It's so pretty. Utah is very pretty... I love Utah most when it's not Winter. :) This is the time of year that I love that I live here.

I know that my blog is my journal, but I decided to start another journal... like a real one. It looks awesome because it is a leather cover and it has thick recycled paper and it is really small, so it fits in my purse, but it is also really thick, so it should last me a while. I'm pretty open on my blog... but I mean, come on... I still don't tell you EVERYTHING. So, I will write more personal stuff in there, PLUS calendar journaling (trying it out) and I will have quotes and pictures and doodles and keeping track of my weight loss goals AND.... I want to paint more, but I never do. I think one of the reasons why I don't is because I don't want to commit to canvas and think I need to find a place to put it. I could totally paint on this paper... so I'm hoping to paint in it as well. If I think of music lyrics for the new Duo (me and Ben). It is going to be a a journal that is a mix of everything that I will always have on me, so I will hopefully get good use out of it. We shall see.

So while I was in Arizona, I went on a date with this guy that I had met on LDS singles before I quite. He lives in Tucson... so we obviously never met, but we talked almost everyday for 2 1/2 months before I went out to Arizona and we finally went on a date. I was nervous. You just never know with online dating what you are going to get. It is VERY typical for one of both people to get their hopes up and set up high expectations and a lot of times those expectations are not met when they actually meet. It added more pressure that he drove 2 hours to take me out. Lucky for both of us... it was awesome. He is a gentleman, a good guy, attractive, SO easy to talk to, a few years older than me, never been married and doesn't have kids, we clicked and have lots in common. Chemistry was there. We ended up spending like 8 or so hours together. I know it was only one date, but I like this guy. I mean... it helps that we kind of built a foundation before we met. So now what? He lives in Tucson. What am I supposed to do with that? Ugh. Then there is Rugby guy. He is also great and wants to go out again. We were supposed to tonight, but it didn't work out. #datingtroubs

Weight Loss update. Since I was at my sister's on Monday, I actually didn't weigh in and measure... but I'm feeling good... in fact, guess what? All of my old pants fit so right now.... I don't care what the scale says. THAT feels great. I still have a long way to go, but I'm really happy I'm back in a lot of my clothes again. We will see what the scale says next week. :)

So I finished watching all of the Walking Dead. Loved it. Totally gross but good.... so now I am on to the next show. I started watching Revenge. I'm half way through the first season. I am liking it so far. It is interesting.

Last night after Institute, Sarah (my old roommate) came over for a chat... so we caught up, which was fun. THEN today, Meg and I got together for dinner at the Trolley in Springville. It was so fun to see her and spend some quality one on one time and catch up. I miss them both. I told her we need to make it a regular thing... like once a month. Hopefully we can make that happen.

I am jealous of the rain you got to experience. I love the rain. I miss the rain.

I am so glad you visited me, and I'm glad you had a good date here and another one in Utah. Looking forward to hearing about the progress. ;)
