Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 275

The weeks are just flying... as usual.

This last week I went to go see a play with my mom at BYU. It was a play of the book "The Princess Academy". It was a little cheesy, but it was alright. There were a lot of little girls in the audience. It was fun to have a little outing with my mom.

I already blogged about the rest of my weekend. My hike to Grotto Falls and the Payson Temple Cultural show. It was an eventful weekend. I like eventful weekends a lot more than boring weekends.

Tuesday I went to the temple. It was crowded again... but I guess that is never a bad thing right? I always enjoy being there... even if I am just sitting in silence. I always feel at peace in the temple. All my worries go away while I am there.

Yesterday I had made an appointment to go back up to Layton to where I bought my car to have my first free oil change and check up. Kind of stinks that I have to go all the way up there, but I love that it is free. I just arranged to get together with my good friend Desiree that day, so I just went to her place in Salt Lake right after so I was in that direction for more than just my car. It is always fun to catch up with Desiree. She was sweet and made me dinner and we worked on crafts together... I ran out of corks for my cork board, but when I finish it, I will post it. We spent a lot of time catching up and went for a walk later that night. She also gave me some great healthy meal and snack ideas... which I need! I need all the help I can get of healthy stuff that I like and will actually make. So great to spend time with her. So glad we keep in touch and get together often.

Speaking of healthy. I have been SO good about keeping track of my calories in My Fitness Pal. I think it is helping me a lot. I do well with seeing visual info. It's motivating for me to keep on track. My meal plan from my health coach was also a big help because I'm really eating all day... but it's healthy and I'm staying low on calories and I'm not hungry and I don't feel crappy after I eat. Now... to just stop feeling like I need sugar everyday. I'm a work in progress. One step at a time. I love that my jawbone and My Fitness Pal sync though... because I don't have to worry about trying to figure out how to put in my exercise. It does it for me automatically. I have been really trying to get in my 10,000 steps every day and I really am trying to motivate myself to get down to the gym on my lunch break now that it is too hot after work to go running now. I just need a health and exercise buddy. Why is that so hard to find?

Other than that... not much going on. Still trying to go through my stuff and get rid of stuff I don't need. Always cleaning. Always watching Netflix while I work. Exciting... I know. I am getting closer and closer to moving into a cubicle. I swear I get daily reminders. I hate it. I don't look forward to the day that I am no longer with the rest of my team that is no longer my team. I'm going to miss them. The people I dislike being around the most are the ones I am going to be stuck with... and with no office to shut people out of. I will be in a little cubicle for everyone to bug me. I should change my attitude about the entire thing... but I can't. I hate it too much.

Looking for two new roommates now. Megan has been gone for a month and a half now and Allison is leaving at the end of this month. I hate having to find people to move in. I hate that I go through so many roommates. Random people coming and going, not knowing if I will like living with them... I feel like I am too old for this. If I didn't just buy a new car, I would find my own place I think. At least I will always have the basement to myself. That helps a lot to have my own space.

Well... I think that is all I got for now. Until next week...

That is really nice that you at least have a basement. :)

I would be interested to see The Princess Academy musical. I need to read that book again, because I forget some of the stuff that happened. I'm sure I would have thoughts.

I'm not sure what you've seen on Netflix, but I highly recommend Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We are loving that right now.

You are going to have an exercise partner for three weeks! I'm so happy!
