Finally made it through January. This month has been brutal. Mostly because of the weather because it has been the coldest winter that I have ever experienced, but also because I get the blues if you know what I mean. Towards the beginning of the month, I got a cold and an ear infection. Well... to end the month I got the flu. I'm trying to remember the last time I had the flu. It has been years. I don't think you forget that it is horrible to throw up... but I think you forget HOW horrible it is to throw up. I was throwing up every couple of hours all morning and just crying as I lay on the bathroom floor. I couldn't get out of bed until 3:30pm. You always hope that the one benefit of throwing up is that it will relieve the pain in your stomach. However, mine didn't. Even when I started to feel better, I still went to bed that night with a little bit of pain. Around 4 I finally got enough energy to throw on some sweats and go into work for 10 minutes just to make sure that all my stuff would get transferred to my co-workers while I was gone on vacation... did I mention I was going to be going on vacation the next day? Perfect timing. Well... I guess I should be glad it didn't happen the day of my trip. I then went to the store to get some sprite and saltines and went home and was on the couch the rest of the night. I missed lesson #1 of my hip hop class and at the VERY end of the night, I barely had enough energy to pack for my trip and just prayed that I would wake up the next day feeling better... which I did. All I wanted all day though was someone to come take care of me. To go to the store for me to get the salines and sprite. However... I had nobody. Nobody to come and comfort me in my day of what felt like was going to be my death. Oh well.
My neighbor Geoff helped me transfer phones... so I am finally using the iphone that my roommate, Megan gave me (thank you) and I have a nice working phone that doesn't turn off every time I try and use it for more than a couple of minutes. YEAH!! Now I just need to get used to the iphone world. I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it though. The only bummer was losing everything on my old phone. Pictures and music and video's I can transfer over. It is kind of a pain, but doable. Text massages, gone. Kind of makes me sad. Two years of conversations with people. I guess I'm sentimental and care about that kind of stuff. Had to re-download all of my apps and all that jazz. Still... it needed to be done.
Saturday was a very productive day. My roommate Sarah and I went through our pantry and under the kitchen sink. We got rid of a whole wall full of trash and DI items. Lets talk about how we had 20+ vases under the sink. That is my fault. I swear I'm not a hoarder... I'm not even sure where they all came from, but now we only have 4. Sarah and I are both alike in the fact that cleaning and getting rid of things and organizing makes us feel good and happy. So we bonded over that. I also cleaned a lot after that. Seems like the right thing to do on a Saturday.
I know that I talked a lot about how awful this month was because of the weather and my sicknesses, but looking back on this month, a lot of good things have happened as well. First month of 2013 I have gotten my hair dyed a new color, I have an iphone now and am using it finally, Ty and I rocked karaoke, I reconnected with a good friend from Jr High on facebook (Liz Ramsey), I was an extra in a film for work with Scott Christopher, I have been accomplishing one of my goals for this year already by making lots of things that I have pinned on pinterest, I have already had my first fling of the year, had the first bi-annual fort week (for 2 weeks), went sledding, went on a private plane ride with some of my good friends around Utah AND now I am in San Francisco with one of my best friends, Kirsten. I would like to add that the weather is BEAUTIFUL and warm! If all of that happened in the month of January, the first month of the year... just imagine what the rest of 2013 has in store for me! It will be EPIC! 2013 is going to be an amazing year... I just know it.

I HATE being sick, bleh! No fun at all. And I know what you mean about wanting someone to take care of you. Lately I feel like I want a Mom living at my house again to take care of all of my responsibilities and problems. It is the worst not to be 8 years old.
You are rocking this year so far, Tracy! I'm so glad you feel better and that you are accomplishing your goals already. I need some of that magic.
Glad you got to escape the cold and come to warm cali... even if it wasn't sb ;)
Hmmmmm... Nice posing... Front of Golden gate Bridge... I like it...
