Temple Square Christmas Lights Take 4

Monday night my ward went to Temple Square to see the lights. A great Christmas tradition! They are beautiful and I never get tired of seeing them.  *My friend RJ was there and he brought his nice camera and took the two pictures below*

I was so happy that John decided to come with me. Our ward met at the Front Runner and had pizza and hot chocolate to help keep us warm while waiting for the Front Runner. We all hung out and chatted together on the Front Runner and then we got to SLC and got on the tracks which dropped us off right by Temple Square. It was A LOT colder than we thought it would be! Howzers! I need snow boots... that is all there is to it. Everyone was freezing. We huddled together and did whatever we could think of to try and stay warmer. The worst part of it was the fact that we got to the Front Runner on time, but when we got there, the train we were supposed to get on was out of service, so we had to wait a half hour for the next one. It was the longest half hour of my life. At that point I wished we had driven instead of taking the Front Runner. It felt like there were rocks in my boots... but really they were just frozen toes that I was walking on. I thought I would never warm up when I got home. It took a while, but I finally did. It is a COLD winter this year.... and it's only the beginning.

On a happier note. The lights were as beautiful as always... and it was fun to go with such a big group of people, a lot of friends, even though I was with John the entire time. I always look forward to seeing the lights at Temple Square. I didn't go last year, so it made me that much more excited to go this year. I also finally saw City Creek for the first time. What a classy shopping mall! Loved it. Anyway, here are some pictures from the night.

The lights look gorgeous, but I'm sorry you were so cold! That can be a terrible feeling. We weren't cold at all at the Mesa temple lights this year. Not to rub it in or anything. Ha.
