Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 289

This week went by surprisingly fast. I guess I have just stayed busy... except for on Saturday. That was the most lazy day I have had in a really long time. MacKenzie and I sat on the couch all day. We didn't leave the house except for going to the grocery store and to try and new BBQ place and get Sodalicious and to pick up a redbox... which happened all in one trip and then. I don't love lazy days.. but if I'm going to have a lazy day, it's nice to have them with a friend.

We watched Age of Adeline, which was kind of cute... interesting movie. Worth a watch. Speaking of watching things... I finished Agents of Shield and started Friday Night Lights. It's a show that first off and most importantly, is over. It's a show about a high school football team. I'm not really that into football, but again, it's more about the characters. I just started the second season, but I like it so far.

I have been good about the gym this week, thanks to Jeannie. She is my good friend and Pilates instructor, or was my pilates instructor... I miss pilates. She is now teaching the U-Jam class on Tuesday which I went to. This week she also subbed the pump class, which I went to. Then yesterday she came in just to work out with me. It was like having my own personal trainer. We did weight training with a little bit of pilates. I haven't done any of that in months so it was REALLY hard for me. I'm super sore today. She kicked my butt. I'm so glad she did. I never push myself THAT hard at the gym. Now I need a massage. ha ha. I was going to go today as well, but we had a stupid work meeting that took the place of our lunch. They think it is ok as long as they feed us lunch, but I don't like having mandatory meetings over my lunch break.

Monday I also started my diet. Finally.... for reals this time. I kept finding excuses to put it off. It is harder because it takes prep and you really have to think about what you are going to eat the next day because there are different phases and you eat different things in the different phases and do different exercises on the different phases. That was the thing about Take Shape for Life. It was easy in the fact that you just grab their food and go. Didn't have to think, didn't have to prep. This is all clean eating... eating fresh. It's better for me, but takes a lot more effort. So far I have done well. Haven't felt too crappy either... you know sometimes your body doesn't like the change you are putting it through and you get headaches and have low energy. I have been fine. I have not cheated once... which is great for me since I have such a sugar tooth. I have also had a good coach. My cousin Lisa sends me text everyday to check on me to see how I did and make sure I'm staying on track and to motivate me not to cheat. Little pep talks everyday. It helps. Being accountable to someone always helps. It amazes me that with everything that she has going on... having 8 kids and 1 on the way.. that she has time to think about me on the diet everyday. She is sweet and I love her. I'm hoping this diet is successful for me. I really want to find something that I can do forever.

I went out with 2 Tinder boys this week. I haven't gone out with anyone from Tinder in a while, but I had two guys wanting to meet up, so I went for it. They were both younger. Not a surprise... most of the guys that want to go out with me are younger. The first one had different pictures.... some with a beard some without. He showed up a bearded mountain man. A big bushy beard. I'm not really into that, but he was nice and we had fun chatting at the park. The second guy I went out with was even younger. 8 years younger to be exact... but he was more fun. Hilarious in fact. We had a lot of fun. I would go out with him again... but knowing how most Tinder dates go, I will never see or talk to either one of them again.

My BFF Lolly had her baby girl last night. She text me when she was in the hospital and in labor. Dedicated best friend. She has wanted this baby for a long time, so I am happy she is finally getting it. Now we are both waiting for my husband that I have been wanting for a long time. We talk about these things all of the time. I love that I can call or text her anytime about anything and I know she will always be there for me. I'm blessed to have her has my friend all of these years.

Wednesday night I did some trip planning with my friends. Time for a next adventure. We are going to Moab this weekend. I have been several times, but there are still lots of places that I have never been to there. Should be fun.

I guess that is all for me. Happy tomorrow is Friday. Always excited to leave work to go play for the weekend.

Redbox always autocorrects to redox. Ha.

I've been trying to work out five hours a week, and I usually hit it or get pretty close. Good for you for doing the gym thing. I hate working out, it seems like such a waste of time to me.

Also, good for you for going on Tinder dates. I've never dated a guy with a full on beard.
