Spontaneous Vegas Trip

Thursday I decided to road trip to Vegas the next day to go visit one of my best friends, Lolly. It was one of the most spontaneous trips I have taken in a while. My roommates didn't even know I was going when I left. I had been telling Lolly that I wanted to come and go shopping with her when I reached my goal weight... but by the time I hit my goal weight... I don't know if I'm going to have time to go to Vegas. I really couldn't think of a good time, so I decided to go that very weekend. 

I can't take off anymore days from work because of my two weeks I will be spending in Southeast Asia  in November. So it was a very short trip. I wasn't looking forward to the drive by myself... but I made up my mind that I was going and I was excited to go spend some time with Lolly. 

I usually make pretty good time and the drive wasn't too bad. Got there Friday night, talked to Lolly for an hour and then we both went to bed. Saturday was a good day. I slept in, got ready and then Lolly and I went out shopping. Oh how I love shopping. Shopping with Lolly is fun because she knows what looks good on me and sometimes picks out things that I wouldn't normally pick out for myself. Plus there are different stores there than I have in Utah. She took me to this one that has a lot of nice dressy clothes for super cheap. LOVE IT! I stalked up. We even bought matching shirts (got the last two in the store... mine came off the display and they were both smalls and I fit into it!).

After shopping, we went to the pool at a hotel nearby since it was a nice and hot day. Her kids were excited to go swim.

Then we came home and ate dinner and picked out our outfits for the night and started getting ready. Lolly and I love dressing up and going out. I wish I had more friends in Utah that wanted to do that with me. We went to Mandalay Bay Hotel to see the Michael Jackson ONE show by Cirque du Soleil. We were SO excited because we both love Michael Jackson's music. While we waited for the show to start, we went around the shops and found this candy store "Lick" with a little photobooth... so of course we did that. 

Sunday we just went to church, hung out around the house for a while and then I left to drive 5 hours back to Utah. It was a short trip... but it was a great trip. It is always great to see and spend time with Lolly. She is and has been such a solid friend for the past 11 years. Love that girl. Until next time!
