Can you believe that I grew up in California and had never been to Yosemite before now? Sad huh? I so wish I was as outdoorsy as I am now when I lived in California... I would have seen so much more. I guess it's never too late though, just not quite as close. That is one of the reasons why I was so excited for this little trip... I had never explored the outdoors of Northern California before.
Check out this huge perfect pinecone I found there. Totally keeping it and taking it home and going to use it with my decor somehow. Yep!
Because it is Winter, a lot of the roads were closed down in the National Park, but we were able to explore bit and what we did explore was gorgeous. I for sure want to go back and camp there in the summer.
In the meantime... here are some pictures that Alessandra and I took while exploring there this last weekend. It's fun going on a trip with someone who loves taking pictures as much as you do. I love her photography too. It's a lot different than mine. She views things very differently than I do which is why I love it so much. The beauty of photography, everyone can create such different art with the same camera taking a picture of the same things. What a fun place to photograph too.
She is so much fun. I wish we could hang out all the time. Maybe we will travel together again one day.
