New Years Eve

Is it really 2011? Where did this last year go? Seriously. I guess its been a good year and I had so much fun that it flew by. Honestly a year ago... I was being VERY optimistic of how this year would go. Honestly, this year was a lot better than I was even hoping that it would be. I just looked back on what I wrote a year ago on my blog. I wrote....

"I am ready to meet new people, travel to new places, learn new things, lose more weight, go through the temple.... yes, this next year is going to be a good one."

I believe that I did all that and more. How did I end the year? Well, let me tell you. I went on a date with Matt. We drove to Salt Lake City, went to a party... that we didn't stay very long at, went to the GateWay and had dessert and then drove back to Provo. As we parked the car to go back to my place, we got out and it turned midnight and lots of people were shooting off fireworks. I just stopped to take it in. I didn't have a countdown, but it was still fun and magical. A new year with new possibilities. We went to a New Years Eve party at Deer Haven. Same one that I went to last year. Since we got there at 12:45, they were watching a movie and serving breakfast. My good friend Jennica was making pancakes, so I requested my initials (like I used to ask my dad growing up when he would make us pancakes on Saturday morning). I talked to a few good friends and Matt got to see some old ward friends from when he used to be in the ward. It was fun. Erin was in town from New York.... so it was really fun catch up with her and reminisce about our India trip. Trip of a lifetime! Then Matt walked me home.

Matt and I went inside my place, I got out some fancy glasses and Matt mixed up some Mocktails and we toasted to 2011 and what we want it to bring for us. We both want to get into better shape, Matt wants to practice the violin more and put on a recital, maybe even record a CD. He also wants to buy his own place and get a new job. Me? I want to do another race, Travel in and out of the country more, get scuba certified, go to the temple regularly, do another painting, read more books AND... I would like to learn the bass and guitar. You think I can do it all?

Cheers to 2011!! Hope its an even better year than 2010. If that is even possible.
