Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 78

Another week has come and gone since I was last confessing. Time is going by so fast... but when I am at work, it seems to go by SO SLOW!!

Today I got ANOTHER virus on my computer. I feel like this just happened not that long ago. See... this is why I am glad I own a Mac now. I don't have these virus problems like I do with PC's. It's so annoying.. so now I have to wait for a tech guy to come fix it. Seriously... there is no good reason why I got it either. I was only looking at pictures of cupcakes when it decided to crash and be mad at me.

Besides that though, I can't complain too much about my work week. The gym has been really great in the fact that it helps it not feel like groundhog day during the work week... because we have different work out's on different days. Tuesday's = Pilates, Thursday's = Zumba other days run and left weights. Also it was a good week because Monday we all went to a movie. It's quarter end tradition. I might always have to remind my boss of our tradition, but nobody puts up a fight when I bring it up. So we all went to see the new "Planet of the Apes" movie and we actually all really enjoyed it. We also got to celebrate one of my co-worker's birthday so we had treats, we had some meetings and played some foosball (which I have played enough with them now that I am starting to actually get better). Today, my co-worker and I decided to go visit the 8th floor and see what it was like. I knew they had a balcony up there, so I wanted to check it out. We went up there and there were guys playing pool. We asked them where the balcony was and some other guys overheard us and said "Don't Jump!". It made us laugh. We went out there and it was pretty awesome and I don't think people really use it. So we decided that next time we get breakfast or lunch... we want to eat it up there. It has an AWESOME view.

I am supposed to be going to Havasupai next weekend. I have always wanted to go and I reserved it back in April... because it fills fast and so that is what you have to do. I reserved for 15 people thinking I could fill that no problem. I had a couple people planning the trip with me over the months. Along the way a couple people dropped out here and there, but then a few more added as well. In the last few weeks, I have really been trying to plan this trip and was not getting response from anyone. This is when I knew things were bad. I was right. Out of the 12 people that were committed along the way, just about everyone dropped out. Seriously. Only 2 or 3 people are now saying they will go. Ugh! Flakiness is FOR REALS my biggest pet peeve. Even the guys that were planning it with me dropped out. What is up with that? Why do people have such a hard time committing to things? And this is Havasupai for crying out loud. Everyone wants the chance to go there. I don't know what to do. I am not sure if I should still try going with just a few people or if I should just say forget it and try again another year. The thing is.... it makes me not want to plan trips. I feel like things always fall through when I try planning them. Its better for me to just get invited to things and go along with other people's plans. Maybe I am just a terrible planner. Or maybe I am not cool enough that people think its worth going on a trip that I have planned. I don't know, but all I know is that I was super excited and now I am feeling pretty crappy.

I met a guy last weekend. We spent an entire 12 hours together and I didn't get bored. In fact... it made me pretty interested in him. I felt like he was thinking the same thing, but who knows. I hate the dating game. He lives in SLC. He was cool though, I want to hang out again. Hopefully he does too. Funny thing is... I was trying to find people that would want to go to Havasupai since so many people dropped out, so I asked him if him and any of his friends would want to go and his response was... "I would love to, but I will already be there" SERIOUSLY? What are the chances that not only are we both going to Havasupai but that we would be there the same weekend. It makes me want to still try and go even more. Then we can hang out there. ha ha. Ah, we will see what happens.

Tuesday night I went with Rachel, Vicki and Mindi to Applebee's. Not only do they have half price on their appetizers, but they also have karaoke that night. Who knew. I didn't get up and sing. I kind of wanted to, but I guess I was trying to feel out the crowd. Seemed to be a lot of young people there. I did run into Lex though (my brother in law's brother) that was fun. There were also a lot of serious hotties there. Now I know where I need to go to pick up on guys. j/k Seriously though... my friends that I was there with told one of the main guys that helps run the karaoke and sings a lot that he should do a duet with me. He told me that he wanted to sing "Don't know much" by Aaron Nevill... which totally made me laugh. He was completely serious though. He told me to practice this week and we would sing it next week. ha ha. I may take him up on it. After all... I am a karaoke Diva. I love it.

You would knock all of their socks off. Do karaoke next week. I dare you.
Yeah, flakiness sucks. I totally have been there before. I think that is why I turned into a hermit, because people were always flaking on me and I felt unloved... so I just decided to not try. Don't pull a me, Tracy-it's so not you. Especially since new guy will be there! Yay for new guy.
