Did another week just go by? I feel like I was just confessing the other day. Well... here we go again.
Well... a lot of this past week I spent in Joseph City Arizona... which I am going to blog all about... so you will hear about that soon. I always picture Arizona to be hot compared to Utah because usually when I visit AZ I am visiting my sister and my grandma in the valley, but Joe City is north and the temperature is pretty much the same as Utah, so it was cold... but not unbearable. It was nice to get away from my everyday life and have some small town fun with my friends. It really helped me get out of the funk that I had been in.
Tuesday was pretty much dedicated to driving back to Utah. It was hard for me to stay awake because we stayed up until 5am talking the night before. We figured that would happen. I really think it would be good and healthy for me to get more sleep. At night... its like I don't even know where the time goes. I look at the clock all of the sudden and its SUPER late and I should have been in bed a while ago. I REALLY need to break this habit. Anyway... I got some text messages from friends that missed me. It is always nice to come back from a vacation and know that you were missed. In fact... shortly after I got home and unpacked and did laundry I got a phone call from James saying welcome back and he wanted to come over and watch a movie, which was great because I was home alone and I don't like it most of the time when I am home alone (and that is how it has pretty much been all week. At work everyone was asking me how Joe City was and kind of teasing me about going on vacation there. Going to work the first day after a little vacation is always hard. Your not quite ready to go back, but you have to do it. Thankfully it makes it a short week for me.
Today is of course Zumba day at the gym. Today they had the heater on in that room. It was no bueno!! I lost energy fast. The last few weeks have been funny because this new guy started coming to Zumba and he is not only serious about it... but he kind of gets really into it and makes up his own stuff. I wish I could show you a video because I am really not describing it properly. Oh well. It is hard to not laugh sometimes... either that or I am annoyed because he is in my way and I can't see the instructor.
Anyway... tonight I had tithing settlement. They just held it at my BFF neighbors house. I have to say this was the best tithing settlement experience I have ever had. It was like a party. They provided donuts and other treats, one girl brought her bird and I got to hold it, I had a singing session with Wes & Darrell... and lots of other people were there waiting or staying behind because it was just a good time. I know I was there for an hour just because. Usually (with past bishopric's of singles wards) you just get asked if you are a full tithe payer and they you are done, but this was a little interview... and I enjoyed it. It was more personal. I have to say I really like our new bishopric. I had a good time tonight. Who knew tithing settlement could be so fun.
Now that I am in my new office, I have been thinking about a few things. One, I am so far away from all of my co-workers and my office just looks into the hall at the copy machines. I feel kind of out of the loop now. Even the manager comes over and checks on me sometimes and is like... "Tracy, what is wrong? You are so quite now. The action is gone now". I am not sure how to fix that. I am still getting used to being on a crowded floor where there are people in every office. Maybe I will make more friends this way. Another thing... I LOVE having a window. It is nice to feel the warmth of the sun on my back while I work. It is nice to have natural light. Amazing the difference that makes. Probably not something you think about much. I mean... I never complained about my office before. Also... now I really want my office to feel homey.... So I want to decorate it. Not sure what I should do though besides a few pictures and some plants. How do you decorate an office?

i dont know how you decorate an office, but im sure yours will look great when you are done! Glad you had a nice trip and GET SOME SLEEP!!
I'm sure you will have no problem decorating your office. Pa-lease!
I have never even heard of Joseph City. Huh. Yeah, you should get more sleep. Seriously. I am tired just thinking about your life.
Ok, when I used to go to Zumba all the time there was this middle aged lady who wore skimpy clothes and who always stood in the front and pretended she was the teacher. She wore headbands and stared at herself in the mirror the entire time. She loved herself. Sometimes Zumba people are just special.
Have fun decorating your window office. You should definitely get plants with the natural light.
And I will also add- go to bed earlier!!
HAHA i love how everyone just tells you to get sleep! and you still never do...but where is the fun in sleep?! personally even when i get 8 hours of sleep i still don't want to get out of bed in the mornings any more than i do if i only got 4 hours. But it does wear on you, especially when you are doing it every night. I know i didn't help this last weekend in Joe town, but hey...i never see you so take advantage...and your pretty good at decorating from what I've seen so im sure you will have no problem coming up with some awesome ideas for your office!
