On Thursday I got a text from a girl in the ward I don't know super well, but have always enjoyed talking to when I do see her because she is super nice and friendly. She asked me if I wanted to go cross country skiing on Saturday morning with a group of people. I said I had never gone before. She told me she hadn't either. So I thought... hey, why not try something new?
"The Group" ended up being 4 of us. None of the people were people I have ever really hung out with before. We went to rent the equipment and then drove to Utah Lake. That's right, we went cross country skiing over Utah Lake ... well, part of it. The thought of skiing on top of a Lake made me a little bit nervous. The thought of the ice breaking and me falling into freezing cold water is terrifying, especially since I have done a polar bear plunge before. That being said, the ice is very thick and there was lots of snow on top of that. I didn't get to go for a super long time because I had other things to do that day, but it was pretty fun. Next I need to go snow shoeing. Oh... and I took my GoPro. I didn't end up getting any video... but I did get some pictures.

I need to try this!
I almost went once in Truckee... I do want to try it. I have been snow shoeing though, it's a good way to go out and explore in the snow :)
Good for you Tracy!
Awesome! I've never done that either, and I don't think I will. But maybe I will snowboard again in the future. Maybe.
