Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 173

I can't believe another week has gone by.... where to begin....

Saturday I had a SUPER productive day... which feels great. I ran 5 miles, worked a little in my garden and then cleaned my house. Like spent an hour on the kitchen and another hour cleaning bathrooms and doing laundry. I feel so good after I clean and or organize. I hung out with some friends... still trying to finalize a Southeast Asia trip. Still hoping everything follows through with the trip. We started out planning to go in August... it has been pushed back more and more and now we are looking at November. Which is what I wanted to begin with. So many trips to plan... so little time. :) Oh! That night I went out with this guy Adam. He is super great. He just moved here from Arizona. I guess I am starting to have a thing for Arizona guys. :) We are going out again tomorrow.

I would give you an update on my weight loss... but I didn't weigh myself again this week. I know... I should have. I have my reasons. I will just say that I am feeling good and still sticking to the diet and am excited that I fit into my clothes again. All of the sudden I have more to wear. :) By the time I weigh myself next week... it will have been like 3 weeks since I have weighed myself... so I better see big results. ha ha. Maybe I will be more excited this way. I also might be disappointed. I have had to break the diet a little today and will have to tomorrow. I'm getting more calories in so that I am able to do the half marathon on Saturday. Hopefully that doesn't mess up my diet too much.... but I'm going to be burning a lot of calories right? I guess we will see what happens... but it is necessary in order for me to not die on Saturday.

Speaking of the half marathon.... I am kind of terrified. I have never run that far in my life... and I have been more focused on my weight loss than on training. Liz convinced me that it is scientifically possible (and when it comes to science, I believe her) to run a half marathon without training... so the fact that I have been running (even though not super far) it is totally possible for me to do this. So I'm going for it since I paid for it forever ago and put it on my to do list for this year. I am way nervous though. I just have to keep telling myself that the body is capable of amazing things... like when I did my sprint triathlon without training for it. You just keep going until you finish... and I did! So I will do that with this. Wish me luck and pray that I don't die... or injure myself. I'm sure I will end up walking a lot. That's ok. You will hear all about it when I'm done.

Almost done with the second season of Revenge (I found the second season online for free). I'm totally into it. Almost done though.... the second season only aired this year, so I will have to wait until after summer to watch season 3. I think I will watch Fringe next. My co-worker, Lauren, says it is an amazing show. Plus... JJ Abrams usually doesn't let me down. :) Always fun to watch a new show. Thank you Netflix for saving my boring weeks.... like this week when everyone was gone.

Last night I hung out with Rugby player in SLC (where he lives). We have fun together. My favorite part of the night.... as soon as I get there, he get's all excited to take me on a drive in his golf cart. He lives in this nice neighborhood up in the hills... so as he is driving me around the neighborhood, you see the view of all of Salt Lake City... all lit up. It was beautiful. What a place to live. With all of the guys I have been going out with lately, I feel like I am getting a very small taste of what it would be like to be The Bachelorette. Kind of nice... but I would still rather have one committed guy.

Sunday  I hung out with the family, as I usually do. I enjoy it. It just so happened that this last Sunday, Irelyn and I were matching. So we took some pictures. I sure love that cute little girl.

Good luck on your half Tracy! You will be able to finish it... you will just probably be REALLY sore :) Make sure you do LOTS of stretching (and icing right when you finish) and go for walks in the days that follow the race to help with the lactic acid build up.(Even if you feel like you can't walk or move- it helps, trust me) That is so awesome and I am so proud of you! :) Love you!

Then come to the finish line and cheer me on. It will probably take me 2 1/2 hours. Race starts at 6am
