Confessions of a Brunette on the Internet 26

Yesterday I had to come in early to work for the monthly law meeting. Only this time it was a video conference instead of a conference call. This means... you can't be late and you have to look good. I should do these things anyway, but there is more pressure. I have to say it is so awkward though to watch a bunch of different people just sitting in conference rooms in different parts of the world. You can also see your own conference room. I noticed that I was super fidgety. Then I wondered if anyone else watching noticed. What made me laugh was that they kept zooming in on our office in Ireland. They noticed and you could tell they felt super awkward. My co-worker and I were trying so hard not to laugh during the conference. We don't have to do it often, but when we do... its awkward.

Something I dislike about my personality is how sensitive I am about certain things. I am hard on myself and what other people say and do really get to me. I REALLY hate feeling left out. Seriously. I dislike being the tag a long and feeling like I am not really wanted there. You know... when your not included in the conversation or people's back's are towards you, you are literally out of the circle and then wondering why you are there? I dislike that. What does that say about me? I guess I am needy for attention from people? Sorry future husband. I am working on it. It is just hard to help the way you feel. I wish it didn't bother me so much though.

My friend and I decided we are going to try and take a long walk every night. We went the other night and a bunch of girls actually joined us. I love it. You are getting exercise, but also socializing and its beautiful out. I am determined to take advantage of the beautiful summer nights while they last. Plus that, these last couple of nights there have been tons of shootings stars. They are incredible. It is totally worth staying out late for. :o)

I could be just feeling like ... bla... and you know what brightens my whole universe? My nieces and nephews excited to see me! Calling out my name and greeting me with a big leg hug (cause they are little). I love hearing "Aunt Tracy" It is just instant happiness. Nieces and nephews are simply the best. I also love how each child has learned to say my name different (when they are first learning to talk). Reanne called me "Taytee", Sierra called me "Taytay", Asher calls me "Aunt Twacy" (or maybe he does put the r in there... however he says it is the sweetest thing ever), Grant calls me " Tayee" and William calls me "Tassy". I love it all. They are all so sweet. I can't wait to see how babies Gwen & Zachary say my name when they start talking.

In other news. Today is the 71st anniversary of "The Wizard of Oz"! Awesome right? I am so glad that I have google to inform me of these things. :o)

I have to say, I look forward to your confessions of a brunette every week! That's my favorite thing you do on your blog, and there are LOTS of cool things! I just like listening to the brain of another 27 year old...and hearing the funny things that happen in your week.

The feeling left out thing...I'm totally the same way. Luckily I found a husband who likes to be around me so I'm not usually lonely :) You'll find one too! And, I totally loved that Wizard of Oz thing on Google today. I'm glad you shared :)

I think at first Asher called you Tay-ce. But he has said it right for a long time.
I know what you mean about feeling left out. People can either be really mean or really unaware.
The conference calls sound hilarious!

And you know how I LOVE the wizard of oz! Good confessions Tracy... good confessions.

awww that is so precious.

My little sisters couldn't say my name so they call me "Desi"

When I was little I used to call my aunt Janine "Aunt Neen" because I couldn't say Janine. To this day she is still Aunt Neen. lol
