In September it was my friend Sarah's birthday. For her birthday she wanted to do a flashmob. She choreographed a dance to Footloose and gathered all her friends that like to dance and we started to practice.
During our last practice, we had to practice outside on the asphalt. Part of what we do in the beginning (which is cut off) we have to go down on the ground. Somehow I injured my hand. Who get's a flash mob injury? Weird. It hurt real bad. Thankfully someone had a band aid for me.
End of September, after many Saturday practices with lots of people, we performed at the South Town shopping mall in the late afternoon. I was the privileged one that got to start the flashmob. I got to be the only one dancing while people started to stare. Then a few more joined in. The beginning didn't turn out as exactly planned... so it is cut off from the video. It was so fun though. I have always wanted to be in a flashmob and so glad that Sarah gave me that opportunity. Check off the bucket list. As a bonus, I also made some new friends in the process. First picture is of part of the group then here I am with Sarah and then with Lilya who I used to visit teach in my ward before she moved.
Here is the finished video. In case you don't see me for whatever reason... I'm in the green cardigan. :)
