It's that time of year again. The first Friday in August = a GREAT event in Payson. That event is the Salmon Supper! A group of us went last year and we loved it so much that we decided to go again... and we got more people to come with us. So did everyone else there, because the line was even longer than last year! The food is worth the wait though.
BEST. SALMON. EVER!!! And they definitely give you your money's worth in meat. :) It is fun to see all of the big salmon cooking over the fire. Fresh from Alaska that day, fresh from the fire and on to my plate. SO GOOD!!
While we waiting in line, we all just chatted (mostly Ellis, Tara and Allison and I stuck together because everyone else that was there were couples) and we listened to the same entertainment as last year (same girl singing the same predictable cheesy love songs) and tried to pass the time until I got to eat my yummy food.
There is not much else to say about this event except that I should have taken a picture of the cute firemen that were cooking the fish (since the fire department is the one that puts on the event). Must have been too hungry... wasn't thinking. After eating and socializing... we head back home... happy and satisfied. As an added bonus, we saw an awesome sunset on the way home.
