Yeah... I realize the title can be taken the wrong way, but all I mean by it is that we got dirty... as in dusty.
Jay is in my ward. We started spending time together about a month ago. Well, not this last Monday but the Monday before that, we went on a date. Jay is the one that I blogged about in my confessions when I said the first time we had a conversation we realized that we had met almost 7 years ago in Minnesota when I went out for a friend's wedding. Such a small world. Anyway, his family now lives in Idaho and he goes back and forth quite often for work. Last weekend he brought the family 4 wheeler and asked me if I would like to go with him Monday. HECK YES!!
I got off of work a little early and went over to Jay's house. We drove out by Camp Williams and drove around for about a couple of hours. So much fun! I had no idea all of those trails were out there... and they just go on and on and on. We could have explored forever. We had so much fun talking and laughing and I was loving the ride. We also saw some creatures like a mouse, rabbit, birds (hawk) and even a group of deer.... really close actually. I called it our desert safari. Another cool thing about Jay is that he served his mission in South Africa. Yep, the country I just visited. So we have been having fun talking about that.... but we both went on the Safari there, so that is why that comment was somewhat funny. Anyway, we took that 4 wheeler up to the top of the mountain, we went off jumps, went real fast and got super dusty. I loved every minute of it though (especially because I got off work early to do it). It was a little cold, but it was a beautiful day.
I told him I didn't need to drive, but he insisted. Glad he did. It was a blast.
After our 4 wheeling adventure Jay took me out to dinner and then we went back to my place and talked for hours... and then he left back to Idaho. Jay is a super awesome guy. He makes me laugh and we have so much fun together. I wouldn't mind spending a lot more time with Jay in the future... but we will see how things go. As for now, we had a really fun date.
